Austin, oh Austin, there is just so much I can say about you and all of your wonderfulness. I know that I have not travelled outside of my beloved California much, but I would leave for you. I could pack up my things and start anew with you. What a dream!
We arrived late on Friday evening and stayed at the iconic Austin Motel. They aren't the nicest rooms, but if you are up for some fun and personality, they are great! Each room is decorated entirely differently for some flavor, vintage, and character. Plus, you can't beat the location! Right in the middle of South Congress, you have access to everything. I loved that about this motel. Also, for future reference, they ARE dog friendly!
We started Saturday off at Kerbey Lane Cafe, where I got the most delicious pancakes I have ever had: Cinnamon roll pancakes! Really, I'm not sure you can call this creation a pancake, it is that wonderful.
We then headed off to Barton Springs Pool, where we had planned to swim, but it ended up not working out. We did get to hang out there for a bit and soak it all in though! Next time, next time...
We escaped from the heat in Waterloo Records, where I decided that I must get a record player and build my vinyl collection. Records are just so cool!
And of course, our motel was right next to the iconic "i love you so much" graffiti! I even got Marly his own little dog tag souvenir with it on it :)

I'm pretty sure cinnamon roll pancakes might be one of the greatest things I've ever heard of! I need to get my hands on some of those!
