Play Time with Chewy
I suppose we are starting these week off with my Marly as the star! When he is just that cute, why wouldn't he be the star anyway?? ;)
June was a pretty good month for my pup! I was home quite a bit during the day so we were able to spend some extra time together, he got to go on a nice hike and some long walks, and he got a special package just for him in the mail!
As you saw from my last post, Marly got some treats in the mail from Chewy, but they were also kind enough to send him a new toy to play with! What more could he really need in one package?
As much as I love to be able to let him run around and play outside, sometimes we need to keep play time inside. We also currently live in a condo without a yard, so having a nice variety of quality toys to entertain him with is important to me. I like to keep him as active as I can!
I often have a tough time finding toys that are durable enough to withstand my pup's rough play. He loves to chew on every single toy, especially if they have stuffing inside them. He can destroy those in just one day! And then there is a blizzard of white fuzz all around the house and stuck to his mouth for me to clean up. Not the most ideal waste of money! He has one specific toy that we have had for a couple years that he absolutely loves and that has been the only one to stick around for a while. So, I knew that he could use another fun toy to jazz things up a bit and hoped that this one would be strong enough to resist his wrath.
So far this KONG Squeezz Ball with Handle toy has been holding up really well! It is nice that there are a few ways to play with it since it has a rope, ball, and handle. I can throw it around the house for him to chase down and can also use the handle to play tug-o-war. Marly has never actually been interested in playing tug-o-war before, so I was pleasantly surprised that he likes to with this toy!
It is also kind of nice for him to have this tough rope to chew on because I think it is good for his teeth. I have tried to give him those dental chews in the past, but he doesn't like them and just ends up finding a spot in the house to hide them instead of chewing on them. So, I figure that the rope must be rubbing the plaque and stuff off, right? Better than nothing I suppose!
I know it is a total fur mom thing to do, but I can't help but gush about how dang cute my little furry boy is. I mean, how could you not love that handsome pup? :)
Thanks Chewy for the great new toy!
