I hope everyone had a great time with their dad this weekend! We had a pretty relaxed Father's Day this year and we mostly spent the day hanging out at home together. We later went kayaking in the lovely lagoon that runs through our town, and then headed off to see my dad's fiance's family. Wow they are entertaining. Love it.
I would say that kayaking was successful. It was a bit windy, but that's okay. My dad has been talking about buying a kayak for a few years now, but he hadn't actually ever been! So, I thought it would be the perfect thing for us to do :) He wanted to jump straight to the advanced kayaks, but the rental people wouldn't let him. I don't blame them. In the end though, he probably could have done it and the ones we were using didn't have much back support. Also, we could not avoid getting wet in these ones because for some weird reason there are holes drilled in it. Oh well. Next time we will try the other kind!
We saw a few sets of mama ducks and their babies :) So precious.
