On my second weekend here in Houston, we went to a food truck event. Now, food trucks are a big deal in the Bay Area, so it's not like I should be so excited, but man, I love food trucks. It is just a fun time, and it's actually pretty cool to see what they are like in a different part of the country. I must say, it is definitely more organized and convenient in the Bay Area, but Texas, you're doing alright. Apparently there is some regulation that the trucks have to be spaced out a certain amount? So they are spread out on several blocks, whereas in SF, they will all gather on one block or in a parking lot somewhere and there will be chairs and tables and whatnot. But anyway... It was still a good time!
I saw the cutest boutique truck! The clothes weren't actually really my style, but I think the truck and idea itself are adorable.
Some of the best pizza I've had in a while, with arugula, truffle oil, spiced almonds, and fresh mozzarella.
And of course, this boy tagged along.
Believe it or not, it is actually raining and thundering here today. Who would have thought? So today shall be spent in pajamas, eating a late breakfast consisting of cereal on the couch, and the Sufjan Stevens Pandora station. Sounds like a perfectly fine Wednesday to me.
It's official... a large population of food trucks is added to my criteria for places to live.
That is just the cutest pale pink bistro set I've ever seen! And the pizza looks ammazzzing.
