Lately I have been very interested in light and shape. I stared at this hallway all morning on Friday, longing to photograph it, but didn't get around to it until later. And boy, I am so happy that I did. This hallway is peaceful, and lovely, and the kind of quiet I love. The soft quiet.
I was so excited that I had my little cousin walk around and what toddlers do, and these photos are so precious. A moment of a boy captured.
I'd say that this one is definitely my favorite, even though Marly walking down there was actually a mistake. I think it is a perfect representation of us. This one will be going in a frame in my room for sure!
And lastly, this is my other favorite. Gosh, I just adore this lighting and am so happy with how this experiment turned out!
Anything that you've been wanting to try? Do share!
The lighting in these photos is gorgeous!
ohh I've been wanting to learn how to do that! They look great! What camera do you shoot with?
That hallway looks fabulous all on it's own! But the photos of your little cousin, and of you and Marly are so perfect! Amazing! I love it!
These are beautiful! I especially love the one where you're holding your hair up--lovely. How'd you set this up?
Thank you! I shoot with a Nikon D3000 and mostly my 50mm f1.8 lens.
Thank you so much, Kenzie! The set up was actually pretty simple--just a tripod and remote. I left the lights in the hallway turned off and just used the natural light coming in from the window. I shot these with my 50mm f1.8 lens and took a few test shots to get the right shutter speed/aperture I was looking for. And this is what I came up with!
I'm going to have to experiment with this at home... love these shots. Seriously, obsessed right now.
