Hello there! This stressful and rather awful week is finally over! I live for Fridays when I have the morning to myself. It is wonderful. I woke up not feeling so well, but I am starting to feel better and hopefully I can kick this before the weekend officially begins!
Anyway, today I thought I would do a "What's in my bag" post. I have never done one of these, but always like reading others' posts about this. I know that they aren't the most original posts, but they're fun and that's good enough for me!
This is my most favorite bag ever. You've probably seen it around here in outfit posts quite a bit, but it just never gets old to me! It holds everything, and does it comfortably too.
So here's what's in my bag!
+ Wallet - Love this wallet from Hobo Bags! I've had it for a couple years already and it has been very good to me. The light outside has gotten quite dirty though, which is a bummer. Also, I am now kind of wanting a smaller wallet as well.
+ Keys - You know, for driving and getting in & out of my house. Essential.
+ Sunglasses - These are my most favorite (and expensive) sunglasses I have ever had, and I've kept them in great shape thankfully! The pop of blue on the rims is so fun, and I love how the lenses have a slight ombre-ish effect to them when they are on.
+ Lipgloss - Got a Stila lipgloss gift set for Christmas and have been having so much fun playing with all the colors. These two are currently my favorite. One is a light, sugary pink and the other is a brighter berryish color.
+ Chapstick - I will forever be a Burt's Bees enthusiast (except for their shampoo - that stuff didn't do my hair any favors). I've tried several of their chapsticks and this mango butter one is my favorite! Smells great (I love mango everything) and is silky.
+ Water Bottle - I generally drink a lot of water throughout the day, so I try to keep a bottle with me at all times. I got this one for Christmas and really like it because it doesn't leak (unlike my damn Camelback bottle).
+ Kindle Fire - I got this a couple years ago and really like it. It is a great little tablet for reading, watching Netflix/Hulu, and browsing the web. One day I may upgrade to an iPad (Dai got a mini one around Thanksgiving and it has convinced me), but for now I am okay with this.
+ Moleskine Sketchbook - I use this sketchbook to write down or draw anything that comes to me. It is where I store all my ideas for this blog (there are seriously pages and pages of post ideas in here!) and I like to keep it with me at all times since I never know when inspiration may strike!
+ Cloth Zippered Pouch - Got this on sale at a little stationary store called Typo and it is perfect. Love the camera printed on it and it holds all my little special things. I generally just keep pens and the like in it, but I often go through phases of using it as my wallet when I am too lazy to keep things organized (ha!). I try not to do that though because it is difficult to find my cards and whatnot when things are just floating around.
+ Pens - To go with my sketchbook, of course!
And there you have it! Interesting stuff, huh? If I'm being honest, I'm not too thrilled with these photos. I found it really difficult to photograph these things with the space I had. I realized that I don't really have a spot in my house that has perfect lighting and enough space to photograph things as I would like to. It looks like I may be moving in the near future, so I will definitely make sure I have a find a good spot for photographing things in my next place. Oh well, live and learn!
Happy Friday!
The photos aren't bad at all Jess! I love that bag you have, like you I carry a lot with me as well. It's perfect for everything!
I love what's in my bag posts - I've been thinking I might do ones for going to school and going out. :]]] Cute!
I think you photographed these very well!! I tried to do one before and it was super awful, yours is soooo much better! ha Everything in your bag is so stylish Jess :) You are just too adorable!
i love reading these posts too! i've always wanted to upgrade to ray bans, but like clockwork i loose my $16 Target shades every 5-6 months and I know I will never take the risk investing in eyewear.
Besides what's in the bag I am loving the bag itself. Its totally something I would wear.
Aww well thanks Danica! Yeah, it really is perfect for everything! Highly recommend it ;)
That's such a great idea! I've been thinking about doing an adventuring one maybe.
Thanks Abby! I'm glad you like it haha it was pretty tough though. And I'm glad you think I'm stylish :)
I know, me too! I honestly wouldn't have bought glasses that expensive, but they were a spur of the moment gift from my uncle, so I am a very lucky (& spoiled) girl! I'm really glad I have them though and am doing my best to take great care of them!
Thank you! It is Madewell. Highly recommend it! I have nothing but praise for it.
