Over the past few years I have really come to love podcasts. When I first discovered podcasts, I was doing a lot of driving (still do!) and they became my company during my daily commute to school and work. I also would continue listening as I walked from class to class on my college campus. It was like I had little friends with me!
Lately I have been seeing them rise in popularity and it is cool to see the community grow. I just love how there are podcasts on pretty much any topic you could dream up and that there are new podcasts popping up everyday.
In case you are new to podcasts and don't know where to start, or are looking for recommendations to add to your list, I thought I would share my most favorite podcasts with you!
This was the very first podcast I ever listened to! I have talked about it briefly in the past, but basically, if you are a Gilmore Girls fan, then you need to give this a listen. Two guys disect every single season of GG episode by episode, and even have some great guests along the way (including cast and crew from the show!). Hilarious, insightful, and made me feel even more connected to a show that's so near and dear to my heart.
The LadyGang was the second podcast I ever started listening to. After a few episodes, I was hooked. Hosted by three lovely ladies (an entertainment journalist, actress, and entrepreneur), they offer up hilarious stories and relatable truths. I often find myself laughing along with them and also being thankful that they are voicing the things that many of us women are thinking. Bonus: they have an amazing Facebook group of supportive women! I don't have much interest in Facebook these days, but I do go on to see what's happening in the LadyGang!
I never thought I would be interested in a podcast by a former House Wife, but here I am! Heather's life is so fascinating and I enjoy all of the health, beauty, and general life tips she has to offer. Also has great guests every episode. This is one I really enjoy listening to in the car because it makes my drive go by faster!
All of you true crime lovers out there have to listen to My Favorite Murder. It's possible you have already heard of this one as it is pretty popular. All of the stories they tell are so interesting and the hosts, Karen and Georgia, are such great narrators. Plus, the hosts themselves are delightful and make murder hilarious (in a not messed up way, if you know what I mean). I like to binge listen to this one while I am at work, mostly because I have to listen to this one during daylight hours (paranoid much?). If only my coworkers knew what I was listening to haha.
This is one that I just listen to for fun from time to time. It is hosted by former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe. I will admit, sometimes I get annoyed by this podcast, but for the must part it is a lighthearted and entertaining show that is another good one for when I am driving. It's nice getting to know Kaitlyn better through each episode!
I just started listening to this one on a whim and I did not realize just how funny Anna Faris is! This podcast is always interesting and I love the guests that she has on. Like Kaitlyn, it is nice getting to know Anna better and I have come to really enjoy her personality. Though she is an actress, I feel that this podcasts breaks down barriers that allow us to see that she is just a normal person like everyone else. Plus, she is hilarious and basically has no filter. One of my favorite parts of this podcasts is that they take callers and give them advice!
Well, those are currently the most listened to and loved podcasts on my list!
Do you listen to podcasts? Send your recommendations my way! I'm always looking for new ones to add to my rotation :)
