I'd Just Pack Up & GO

Hello my dears! Today we are continuing Blogtember, hosted by Story of My Life. This particular prompt really speaks to me and is something I often daydream about!

If you could take three months off from your current life and do anything in the world, what would you do?

If I were able to take three months off from work, school, and real life in general, and money was not any worry, oh my friends... My friends, that would be a dream.

I thought about this for quite a while, and really tried to decide what I would actually do if given this opportunity. This is what I came up with:

I would pack my bags and go see the world.

This is just a small list of the endless possibilities...

I'd go meet my distant family in Slovenia, where they would show me my family's roots and we would swim to the church in Lake Bled to climb the stairs and ring the bell triumphantly.

I'd drive along the quiet Italian countryside, and spend warm summer evenings drinking wine and eating fresh pizza on a string-light lit deck that overlooks a vineyard, all while laughing with the local friends I'd made.

I'd wear the perfect sun hat and flowing white cotton dress as I spent the afternoon painting and napping in warm, breezing lavender fields in the south of France, until the light turned golden purple, and reluctantly gave way to the night.
I'd wear my highest heels and prettiest dress as I traipsed through London, soaking in the night life and singing that London Bridges song because only I would do something as ridiculous as that.
I'd go to Australia, where I would wander the beaches and be determined to play with a kangaroo, and where I would not eat Vegemite because it is disgusting.
I'd wander through the Garden of Ireland, wearing my best adventuring outfit, and sped the night at a pub drinking beer, listening to a band play, and flirting with Irish boys (sorry Dai) (& I'd definitely drag my sister along for this one).

And then I'd wish to never come home.

What would you do?
