Linking up with The Nectar Collective today! I really love this series and hope you enjoy it too.
- Take my lunch every day. I actually did this!!! Are you proud of me? I sure am! I'm going to try to keep up with this habit.
- Mentally prepare for and then ROCK the wedding I'm filming on Saturday. DOUBLE CHECK! Gosh, this wedding was a beautiful success. I am beyond excited to get to work on going through the footage and putting things together. And you know what, I would actually do this again!
- Find time to relax and unwind. This slightly happened! This past week was insanely busy and I went without much sleep for most of the week, and then the weekend was devoured by the wedding. But, I got to last night, so that was nice. Hopefully I will find more time this coming week.
- Go to bed before 11pm. I know that this was a goal of mine a few weeks ago, but I feel that it is something I need to try to focus on again since last week was beyond awful in this department. One night I slept for less than 3 hours... And now I have been sick ever since. This is not good.
- Unplug from a different form of social media each day. I think it is important to do this because I sometimes find myself so consumed with what is going on in all of these worlds, and forget about the one in front of me. If I am not checking Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram throughout the day, I feel like I'm missing something. Which I am: My own life! So, I think I will alternate each day disconnecting from one of these social media platforms.
- Finish some business cards I was working on. I started these for some friends back in July and never finished them! Truly awful, I know. But it's never too late, right...?
- Work on having more patience. This has always been a struggle for me, and quite honestly, probably stems from my dad not having a lot of patience either. I sometimes get annoyed at the littlest things or if things don't go the way I want them to. I need to learn to just take a deep breath and let things go.
I hope everyone had a great weekend! I know I did and I can't wait to fill you in on the wedding festivities. What were you up to? And what are your goals for this week?
I like your goals this week. I too need to go to bed early, it's just so much easier said than done! Unplugging from social media - is that a thing? People do that? haha I should take a pointer from you and do the same. I hope you feel better soon :) Good luck this week!
Love your challenge to unplug this week! I will be interested to see how that goes. Sometimes i switch my phone to airplane mode just to force myself to unplug and reengage elsewhere! Not sure if that's cheating, but it works for me!!!
Oooo, yes.. Having a little more patience is something I need to work on too. And I think unplugging from social media platforms for once is an excellent trade off to better appreciating real life!
So glad the wedding went well!!!
I seriously need to go to bed early too. Last night I only slept 3 hours and I don't know if I'll make it throughout the day. Good luck with this week's goals :)
Love your goals! I've been working on going to bed early too since I have to wake up early for work and it makes me sooo tired. I'm a night owl, so having to go to sleep early is such a hard thing for me. I also love your goal of unplugging! A couple months ago, I told myself to stop checking my phone, whether it was for social media or texts, and let me tell you, your life improves. You begin to pay attention to the small, beautiful things that you'd be missing when you check social media/your phone. I'm so glad that I did it. I told myself I didn't want to be one of those people who are on their phones while out eating with their loved ones. Good luck with your goals this week!
Nice to hear the wedding went well! And unplugging from social medie sounds like a great idea. I think I could use that very much.
Good luck with everything and have a nice week!
I'm working on getting to bed before 11pm too and it has been hard! Also, disconnecting from social media this days... is hard too! haha
These sound like great goals! I wish I had more patience, let me know when you figure out how to cultivate that! How is the social media unpluggage going? I think that sounds like a good and difficult task! I don't think I could really do it. I do so much online! Okay, it's not that I COULDN'T do it, it's that I don't want to! hahhaha
It definitely IS a difficult task! I think I have failed haha. Next time I will have to make it more restricting, you know? Like give up ALL social media every other day or something. I need to do it though!
You never think about how hard it is to make yourself go to sleep early, but it is! There are always so many things to distract us!
Thanks!! I hope to post about it this coming week :) Hope you had a great week too!
Somewhere along the way these past few years I have become a night owl too! It's a hard habit to kick, but I need to do it as well. Also, that is such a great challenge to stop checking your phone. I think I will have to adopt it and try it out next week! I hate being or seeing those people that are always checking their phones too... Thanks for stopping by, Mallory :)
Oh my goodness! That is awful! But it happened to me a week or so too and I was a complete wreck the entire day. I even fell asleep in my drawing class for like 40 minutes!
Also, the whole water thing went super well this past week! Not so much this weekend, but during the week it did. Hope it went well for you :)
Thanks!!! Hoping to share a bit about it this coming week and eventually share the video when we are done with it!!
Amen to all of that, sister!
Hey that is actually a great idea!!! I was thinking about just deleting some apps too... Whatever works, right?!
Thanks so much, Amber! It is TOTALLY easier said than done!! Haha I don't know if you should take any pointers from me because I didn't do a great job unplugging either....
Glad it went well for you! It looks like I didn't achieve my goals. I'm still with my 75cl bottle. I'm writing about it on today's weekly wishes post. Have a great Monday :)
