Japan Adventures // Fushimi Inari Shrine

Installment two of our Japan adventures is here! On our second day in Japan, we took the train to Kyoto for the day. Our first stop was Fushimi Inari Shrine, which was actually mentioned on Laura's guest post of her top 5 things to see in Japan!
At every shrine we visited, it was customary to rinse your hands and mouth out to cleanse yourself at these water baths before entering.

For a small fee, you could buy one of these wooden fox faces to decorate the face of and write a wish on the back of. I didn't really realize it was a fox when I made mine, so mine turned out a little crazy! haha
This was probably my favorite part of visiting this shrine! I shared this photo when I said a quick hello from Japan, but I just think it is awesome.

This shrine is huge and winds all the way up a mountain side. I wish we had time to walk through the entire thing, but we had other sight's to see! I really enjoyed this shrine and all of the vibrant orange tunnels and interesting people we met :)

I can't believe you've just been to such a far away place! (from here..) It's so cool and it's also strange that it's over (for now) - I remember when you first announced you were going! Wonderful photos and so many bright memories, though. Thanks for sharing with us!

One day, I'm sure! From what I've been told, we got a great deal on our flights, so you just have too keep an eye on things!

I know, me either! My first time going so far... Very strange that it is over! There was all this anticipation leading up to it, some great adventures, and now that I'm home its like "Now what?" haha.
