Outfit // A Vision in White

Hi, friends! Here we are, at the middle of another week. How does time go so fast? I've been really enjoying this week and the endless possibilities of each day. I'm not used to such freedom! If I feel like taking a nap, I can. If I want to spend all day at the pool, I can. If I want to read at the park, I can. It is quite wonderful and I am cherishing each day! Gosh I love summer, don't you?

One nice thing that has come with my open schedule is more time for blogging! Sometimes, when I think about it, it is ridiculous all the time you could spend writing posts, connecting with others, and planning for what comes next. BUT, I really enjoy the time I spend putting effort into this space. It is fulfilling, fun, and challenges me to be creative and make good use of my time. Plus, it is nice having this journal of sorts to look back on. Bonus: I've met some awesome people so far too.

I've found that I've also been wanting to dress more summer-y for fun and out of necessity since it has been warming up a bit! Today has been especially warm and I can't wait to go take a dip in the pool later. This dress, though, has been perfect for warm weather. It is light, airy, and doesn't stick to my skin, but is also not see-through one bit like white tends to be. It also moves so nicely with me and I just feel great in it.

I was especially drawn to this dress because of the embroidered navy details. I love embroidery and these colors together are just so fresh feeling to me.
I'm not usually one to purchase white items since I tend to be a bit messy at times, but I'm hoping I can keep this lovely dress pristine all summer! I'm already dreaming up all the places I plan to wear it to, too.
Like I said in this post, I wanted to start making it a point to wear a red lip more often and I thought it would be the perfect touch to make this outfit pop a bit more.
I'd also like to note that this is probably one of the best cat-eye liner looks that I've ever done. I've been practicing a lot!
I finally decided that I just had to buy another pair of my beloved brown sandals in another color, so of course I chose gold! Also, I'm in love with that mint polish! It's been my favorite for quite a while now.
I've been really happy with how I've been challenging myself to take more outfit photos this year. I always enjoyed doing them, but never really thought I would post them as often as I have been. I don't consider myself a style expert or a fashionista by any means, but for whatever reason I have noticed that those posts get the most attention from readers, so I figured I must be doing something right! And that maybe I should start focusing on that aspect of this blog a bit more. Give the people what they want, right? I still don't know if I would call myself a fashion or style blogger, but I have grown to enjoy these posts very much!

One of my goals for the next week or so is to (finally) put together a vlog! I don't know anything about making videos, but I'm gonna give it a shot. I'm thinking that the first one will be about makeup, but I'm also considering doing a Q + A video.

Have any questions for me? About my life? Dai? Marly? Makeup? Style? My adventures? SF? Ask away!

Laura, me too! My hubby can't get decent pictures of me to save his life the poor thing. And the auto-focus on my camera is broken which doesn't help. Dai needs to give our hubbies some lessons ;)

I love that dress! You're right, it's so hard to find a white dress that isn't see-through so good find! As for video topics: I wanna see more of Marley! He's a cutie. Oh and maybe take us to your favorite restaurant because I love your photo tours of restaurants so if you could get a video that'd be cool! And yes some videos on beauty because I love that simple cat-eye you're doing in this post and your skin always looks so polished and clean (mine is always shiny when I go to take pictures). A day in the life video would be cool too!!

Aww thanks Laura! It has taken me a while to find my groove and become comfortable with doing outfit posts, but now I really enjoy them! Also, I think Dai has found his groove with them too :) Haha if you are ever in the area, I'm sure he could give some lessons ;)
