First Day of School!

Hellooooo! This is a slightly scatterbrained post only for the purpose of telling you all that I started school today! At my new college! Where I will be getting my degree in graphic design! Woohoo!

I have been kind of nervous about this whole thing and all the change that was going to come with it. You know, new school to navigate, new people, a new place to live, and a new schedule for work. All spring and summer, this day was creeping closer and closer, and I wasn't sure how I felt about it. Miraculously, though, every detail started to fall into place in and I started to feel better about it all. I am now mostly settled into my new place and am really loving it so far! My school schedule is sorted out and I was able to build my work schedule around it, so all is well! Now I just need to focus on doing well in my classes, adjusting to my new school, and making friends!

Even though it has only been one day of classes, I am already so happy. I walked across campus to and from my class with a big grin on my face because I simply couldn't believe all of this was finally actually happening. I mean, I've been going to college for the past three years, but that was community college and it felt like I was never going to get out of there. The day has finally come, though, and I have moved on to bigger & better things! I'm at a place now where I will finally be immersed in the teachings of my major and my chosen career path, and simply put, I am EXCITED!

Last night, I laid out my first day of school outfit and packed my bag like I was starting 2nd grade again. And it was wonderful! It feels so great to be excited to go to school again and to learn new things.

Tonight we are going out for drinks with friends to catch up and celebrate the end of summer/beginning of school! The rest of the weekend shall be spent fully settling into my new house and getting things in order for a great semester!
