Outfit // Numbers + Chipped Nail Polish

Hello friends! I've been thinking about things lately and all I have to say is this: I'm really happy with where things are at right now with this blog. I have been feeling so much love and community around here lately and it really warms my heart! I don't consider myself a well seasoned blogger or anything like that, but I am simply proud of the growth that has been going on in this space. It's a beautiful thing, really.

When you first start blogging, you just wait and wait and wait for someone to find you and like you enough to leave some sort of comment letting you know. I remember being SO excited when I got my first comment, and really, I still am just as excited every time I check my e-mail and there is a notification telling me that someone left me a new little love note. There was also a time that I totally obsessed over numbers. That went on for a very long time. It is really only in the last couple months that I have just stopped letting my worth and validity be stunted by the stats page on my Blogger dashboard. I have just let go have and not given a damn. And you know what? I have grown so much.

I know that there there a lot of useful things that can be learned from those stat pages, and maybe one day I will finally figure out how to make sense of Google Analytics and SEO, but for now I am okay with investing more energy into creating content I am proud of and making friends in this big Blogland. Isn't it funny how when we start to let go of the little things and do our best to be genuine, others start to take notice?

1. You rock a sock bun like nobody's business.
2. This is such a good reminder for me. I am one of those who can spend too much time worrying about numbers and forget why I started blogging in the first place. I absolutely love what you have done with your blog so far. Keep up the good work!

It's so nice hearing that other people are working towards moving on from just looking at the numbers. I have been trying to do that, but it's so hard when the numbers pop up as soon as you long in to blogger! I'm still working on moving on from caring about the numbers so much but I have made progress for blogging more for me instead of what I think others are expecting! Hopefully soon I can be more like you!

Also, I LOVE that jacket!

Yes!

Preach it sister.
When you make your blog about content and community - people notice - and they start flocking to you. Its like, you're the only one getting in the way of making yourself successful, until you let go.

Its been a long road coming - but I am right there with ya sister. Right there with ya.
As always, you look stunning.

I was thinking the same thing about the sock bun.
I attempt to pull one of and it makes my head all oblong.

Thanks girl! It definitely takes time to let those things go, but it feels so great when you do :) I love what you have done with your blog as well! You're one of my favorite blogging friends :)

Haha thanks ladies! I watched many tutorials and none of them made too much sense so I had to just make a hybrid method of my own.

It is definitely a process and you'll get there one day! Just keep going, loving yourself and your blog, and others will take notice :) And loving others is always great too!

Thanks girl! It's actually a men's jacket from Lucky Brand :)

It is such a hard thing to understand and feels like it should be just the opposite, but you are SO RIGHT! That is exactly what it is. Thank you, friend :)
